Side of house transformation

From This...

To This!

I had so much fun landscaping this side of the house for a very good friend of mine.

This was actually done last spring, I just decided to display my work on this blog.

As you can see the side needed a little bit of Green Thumb Barber love. I first needed to get rid of the palm tree that decided to grow on the left here.

Problem Solved.... it was much more difficult than the pictures show.

Next, I needed to transplant this little Valencia tree.

I was really happy with the way the transplant turned out.

I then started to put down the stones for the planter wall.

Hardest part was making it level.

Took all the vines and bushes out on the back fence.

I raked a ton of rock up and had to throw down more top soil to level out the left side.

We got some brick colored pavers to give it a nice contrast.
I then added the left and back stone planters.
We got about 3 yards of soil for the planters and brought it back to fill.
I added back the rock that I had earlier raked up.

It turned out pretty nice. The job took about 3 days total.

Thanks Escalante Family
